Lucas Arens (Luke) is a Nashville based producer, songwriter, mixer, re-mixer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist originally from St. Louis, Missouri. He works throughout numerous genres, including, but not limited to: pop, electronic, urban, and alternative. Raised studying trumpet, his instrumental palette ranges from completely organic to the furthest reaches of synthetic and has worked alongside Nashville-based producers like Tony Esterly and Matthew Bronleewe.
Luke has engineered for artists including P. Diddy (Bad Boy), JoJo (Atlantic/Interscope), Dropkick Murphys (Born & Bred), Sebastian Bach (of Skid Row), Yo Gotti (Epic), among numerous others. His work or instrumentation has been heard on popular TV shows like Degrassi: Next Class (Netflix), Gallivant (ABC), and Grey’s Anatomy (ABC).
His most recent songwriting cut is with Diamond Pistols (Firepower Records) called “Gravity” and has a few more on the way. Luke also produces content for the St. Louis Blues (NHL) during the regular season and playoffs.
While chief-engineer/producer at Shock City Studios in St. Louis, he worked with NBC’s The Voice and MTV’s Made, as well as nonprofit organizations like Kids Rock Cancer, The National Blues Museum, Stray Rescue of St. Louis, and Saint Louis University and SLU Hospital.
When not at the production desk, he can be found at local animal shelters fostering and petting dogs...
